This got me thinking. I find that I play without sound quite often as well without even noticing that my sound is off. When I turn the sound back on, I always say “Man, playing is so much more fun with the sound on, not sure why I turn it off.” I’m wondering how many people out there play without sound?

WoW does a great job with their sound in my opinion. There is varied music from zone to zone (beautifully composed too), awesome ambient base population sounds, and most of the abilities in the game all have a different, distinctive sound. It is actually a benefit in PvP to keep your sound on (how many of you have heard the infamous stealth sound right before getting stunned by a rogue?) and possibly in some PvE content. The sound in the game adds so much to the experience of playing the game, and it’s obvious that Blizzard spent a lot of time on it, especially with flavor voiceovers.
